A Tale of a Thousand Gowns

I got engaged in December of 2016  to the love of my life, Rodrigo. Right away, we knew we wanted a long engagement — a lovely sort of limbo during which we could work toward being our best selves before we said "I do." This elongated engagement period would also give us ample time to find the perfect venue, save money for the big day, and be ideally situated in our careers. Lucky for me, it also meant I had approximately four times as long as the average bride to find my wedding dress.

From Vera Wang to Hayley Paige I sprinted, dragging my absolute angel squad of a wedding party with me along the way. I also changed the date and venue no less than three times. In other words, I owe them big time. But I digress.

Here's a small sampling:

Ultimately, I went with a beautiful Hayley Paige gown that I can't share here quite yet, but I don't regret all those trips to the boutiques to search for "the one."
